Kantele

Turaids, 1) Klick mal auf kankles. Der Link führt wieder zurück zu kantele. Das ist ein Zirkellink. 2) Solange kein Artikel zu kokle und zu kankles existiert, ist ein Link vom hier wenig bekannten kokle zum sehr ähnlichen, bekannteren kantele sinnvoll und weiterführend. Rotlinks bringen dagegen nichts, denn es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass demnächst eigene Artikel dazu geschrieben werden. Also setze bitte nicht nochmals diese unsinnigen Links ein, wenn du nicht vorher eigene Artikel dazu geschrieben hast. Gruß -- Bertramz (Diskussion) 23:03, 21. Apr. 2017 (CEST)

@Bertramz:, hallo. Sorry, I don't speak German. Is there a special rule of eradicating red links in German Wikipedia at all costs that I'm not aware of? Redirecting kokle and kankles to kantele is an incorrect oversimplification that can be proven false by merely looking at the photos of each instrument (kokles and kanteles or even this kantele), not to mention the sufficient number of other differences. If we go this may, we might as well redirect gusli to kantele as well, because it also belongs to the same family of related instruments.. --Turaids (Diskussion) 01:19, 22. Apr. 2017 (CEST)

First: It is a convenience, no special rule, to mark red links only if there is at least a small chance for getting an article in the next future. My experience over many years writing articles about musical instruments in Wikipedia says that we don't have to wait for an article kokle within the next few years. Second: Kankles and kokle are already redirecting to kantele, so this links are blue but make no sense. Third: If you look at the first two pictures in kantele (and in gusli !) you see the difference between what is called kantele is as big as between kanteles and all the kokles, kankles, kannels, kandeles, guslis and so on. Last: It is possible to write separate articles on all of them, but at this time the only information about the word kokle is to get in kantele, so a link is useful. Kantele is in Western Europe the most prominent of this group of zithers, means you find for example in Baines, The Oxford Companion to Musical Instruments (1992) the subject "Kantele" and there mentioned the other names. Same in the best Englisch language dictionary on worldwide music, The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (2001): kokle is mentioned in "Kantele" only.
