Richard Delgado
Richard Delgado (* 6. Oktober 1939) ist ein US-amerikanischer Rechtswissenschaftler, der – zusammen mit Derrick Bell – als einer der Begründer der Critical Race Theory (CRT) gilt.[1][2]
Leben
BearbeitenDelgado wurde als Sohn eines mexikanischen Einwanderers in den USA geboren. Nach dem Besuch staatlicher Schulen studierte er an der University of Washington Philosophie und Mathematik und schloss das Studium mit einem B.A. ab. Anschließend studierte er Jus an der UC Berkeley School of Law und schloss mit einem J.D. ab. Er war als Dozent an der juristischen Fakultät der UCLA, Bama, und der SU tätig.[3]
Er ist Autor zahlreicher Artikel und Bücher zum Thema Critical Race Theory, von denen viele in Co-Autorenschaft mit seiner Frau Jean Stefancic entstanden.
