Filmproduktionsgesellschaft

Mischief Films ist eine österreichische Filmproduktionsgesellschaft mit Sitz in Wien-Innere Stadt. Das Unternehmen wurde 2002 von den Filmschaffenden Georg Misch und Ralph Wieser gegründet. Schwerpunkt der Unternehmenstätigkeit sind Dokumentarfilme für Kino und Fernsehen, sowohl in Eigenproduktion gemeinsam mit ausländischen Filmgesellschaften als auch in Auftragsproduktion für Fernsehanstalten, sowie Werbe- und Industriefilme für private Auftraggeber.

Besonderer Fokus der Filmproduktionen liegt bei gesellschaftlichen Themen. Verschiedenste Bereiche sollen durch eingängige und nachhaltige Dokumentarfilme zugänglich gemacht werden. Produziert werden vorrangig Autorenfilme mit eigener Handschrift.

Mischief Films realisierte Filme, die im Kino liefen und auf diversen Festivals gezeigt wurden. Eine große Anzahl der von Mischief produzierten Filme sind internationale Koproduktionen. Bisher gab es unter anderem Kooperationen mit BBC, Channel 4, arte, ORF und anderen europäischen Fernsehstationen wie WDR, 3sat, VPRO und ZDF aber auch mit dem US-amerikanischen Fernsehfonds ITVS.

Mischief Films ist Mitglied bei den Interessensverbänden der Filmproduzenten Association of Austrian Filmproducers (AAFP), den Dokumentarfilmschaffenden dok.at und dem European Documentary Network (EDN).
