Heute um 18:34 teilte mir die Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library mit: Thank you for your inquiry of January 25th concerning Professor Orris. I searched through the faculty file for Orris, and in all of our records, his first name is listed as “Samuel.” However, as you mention, in published records, Orris often chose to abbreviate his name as “S. Stanhope Orris.” I think it is at your discretion to choose the appropriate title for your piece, using either the full or abbreviated form.
