I cannot verify the event was not played in 1959 or 1960 but the ordinals suggest it was. I cannot find data for 1970 other than a reference in a 1971 news article to Kim Eui-gon having won 3 years in a row. I can find semi-final results for 1975 but no final results. Donga Ilbo 1975-11-18 p. 8
I can confirm that the event has been played only once since 2006, and that was in 2009.
