Sorry, but... I was just going to nominate this article for speedy deletion because it appeared to me like a Babelfish translation by some german user. Then I saw this discussion page... I appreciate your efforts but a translation like this is not quite helpful to de-WP. It might take more time to adapt the current article into a proper one than translating it by myself. As I said: Sorry, but... Of course that's just my personal opinion. We can discuss this on my discussion page if you want to. I have to agree with Scooter on this: I'm afraid it will take more time to copyedit the article than it would take to translate it from scratch. Sorry, but in some sentences it's even hard to guess what you're trying to say. We would have to compare it to the English version to make sure we've got the original meaning. Actually, I think it would be a good idea for you to be working the other way around i.e. taking stuff from German articles and putting it into English ones. I understand your concerns. How about the following suggestion: Translate the lead paragraph from scratch and make a priority list of which paragraphs would be of interest to German Wikipedia readers for subsequent translation? I would suggest storing the unused portion with its painstaking references here:

Thank you for your constructive ideas. I can suggest the core sections that I would recommend for translation in my sandbox, if you like. Überarbeiten-Baustein

Wie einen Abschnitt weiter oben ebenfalls nachzulesen, ist der Artikel mehr oder weniger ein Babelfish-Unfall. Den Großteil des habe ich daher erstmal auskommentiert, weil sich für die Überarbeitung noch keiner gefunden hat. Das kann trotz warnender QS-Bausteine so nicht im ANR rumstehen und wer weiß, wann sich jemand zu einer Bearbeitung findet. Ich hatte seinerzeit die Einleitung entbabelt, damit da nicht so ein Kauderwelsch steht und dann aufgehört, weil ich Benutzer:Labsklaus nicht in die Parade fahren wollte. Nachdem jetzt drei Wochen nichts passiert ist, werde ich mich der Sache mal annehmen. --Mgehrmann 14:14, 18. Feb. 2010 (CET)

Der Babelfish ist erledigt. Ich bitte um Durchsicht und Korrektur, insbesondere Orthografie, Grammatik und Verständnis. Einige Teile habe ich weggelassen, weil sie entweder a) ohne Originalquellen nur schwer übersetzbar sind b) redundant sind und c) für den durchschnittlichen Mitteleuropäer, der nicht mit der amerikanischen Innenpolitik vertraut ist schwer verdaulich ist (ohne ellenlange Erläuterungen). -- Mgehrmann 23:59, 24.
