Sorry for write in english: There is a problem with the name. The most famous Pedro Sarmiento is not that bishop, but a politician of the XV century involved in the antijew revolt of Toledo or revolt of Pedro Sarmiento. The link to spanish wikipedia talk about him. There is another, Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa, a sailor. The entire name of the bishop is Pedro Gómez Sarmiento. Perhaps you can fix it.
