Takion: Takion #1, June (1996) Created by Paul Kupperberg (writer) Aaron Lopresti (artist) Alter ego Joshua Saunders

Abilities Cosmic Awareness, Unlimited energy powers. Takion ähnelt in seinem Aussehen, seinen Kräften und seiner Charakterisierung dem Charakte rSilver Surfer von Marvel Comics. Takion is the name of a DC comic book series which ran for 7 issues in 1996, and of the lead character of that series. The character debuted in Takion #1, June (1996) by Paul Kupperberg and Aaron Lopresti.

Josh Saunders war ein blinder Psychologe der von Highfather ausgewählt wurde um ein "lebendes Element der Quelle zu werden" urce. In reality Takion was created as an Avatar of Highfather, as a security measure in the event of Highfather's death. In that moment Takion was able to see everything, all his failures and victories, time was without boundary. He was even able to foresee Highfather's death. (Takion #1)

lf, this is when he first discovers the ability to possess others, read their minds and also their potential timeline and destiny. At the end of the story Takion learned how to accept and use his cosmic awareness.[2]

Takion's main nemesis was Stayne his dark counterpart who was a nameless human woman transformed by Darkseid's power, and sent to keep Takion from achieving his true potential, and from discovering Darkseid's plan to destroy the Source Wall. Stayne was created in Takion #1, but finally catches up to and confronts him for the first time in issue #4. Her first act was to attempt to cut him off from the Source, an act which immediately caused him to appear emaciated, Takion countered her attack and regained control. Later Takion is finally able to make conscious contact with the Source, and teleports himself Stayne, and an alien zealot to the Source Wall. During their fight on the wall, Takion discovers that Stayne is an Avatar of the dark side of the Source, and that whichever one of the Avatars touched the Source Wall first would have total control over their half of the Source, and by extension everything.[3]

Nach dem Tod von Izaya dem alten Highfather wurde Takion zum neuen Highfather ernannt

   * A living embodiment of the Source, and to the spirit of Highfather. He serves as a conduit and avatar, between the Source and the New Gods of New Genesis.
   * Takion's only limit is the amount of energy existing in the Source, he cannot create new energy, but can channel and manipulate existing forms of energy. He apparently can actively shift the signature of wave energy along its spectrum.
   * He seems to be able to rewrite the atomic structure of matter by re-arranging the subatomic particles that form its identity matrix.[1]
   * He could become intangible at will as well as teleport.
   * He could manipulate subjective time on a quantum level.
   * He could also dampen energy fields, including the ring of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner. (Takion #1)

arkseid is incredibly powerful, but cannot escape his ultimate destiny. It has been foretold that Darkseid will meet his final defeat at the hands of his son, Orion, in a cataclysmic battle in the fiery Armaghetto of Apokolips. Mark Evanier, Jack Kirby modeled Darkseid on actor Jack Palance.[1]

ch will allow him to control completely the thoughts and emotions of all living beings in the universe. The Anti-Life Equation has often been portrayed as a quasi-mystical power that forces a listener to agree with whatever the wielder says, while other times, it is portrayed as a comprehensive scientific theory on how to dominate any living mind, whatever its nature may be.

Omega Effect, a form of energy that he fires from his eyes. It is not only a relentless attack, but it is also capable of teleporting the target to any location Darkseid chooses and recall them later or erase the target from the universe and similarly reform them. Darkseid has pinpoint control over his Omega Beams, and his unerring aim allows it to travel in straight lines or bend, twist, or curve around corners. The Omega Effect can apparently pass through matter and energy.

   * Darkseid possesses superhuman strength, stamina, and durability that at least rival those possessed by Superman.
   * Additionally, Darkseid possesses a regenerative healing factor as well as immortality, which are common among the more advanced beings of the Fourth World.
   * Darkseid is also possesses incredible psionic abilities. He once mentally dominated nearly three billion Daxamites simultaneously.
   * Darkseid can transmute matter at the molecular level, as he demonstrated by turning the Daxamite warrior Ol-Vir into dust, and Slo-bo into a statue. He is also able to dissipate and disperse the molecules of any object or organism, effectively erasing them from existence.
   * Darkseid has the ability to generate mental avatars, and is able to levitate himself and others telekinetically with ease.
   * Asse. Hethe being known as Stayne, created as a rival for Takion.
   * He can travel through time and between dimensions as easily as any New God.
