Cello concertos? Bearbeiten

There is an earlier cello concerto, perhaps lost (or perhaps the same one or an earlier revision of it..., only published in the 1930s?... don't know where the 1934 date comes from) - that was performed (by Heinrich Klefer?) in Dessau, November 14 1910 (see NZM Jg 77/MW Jg 41, p.445). (The middle movement is given as a Largo in the concert review.) Eric (Diskussion) 20:00, 6. Jul. 2013 (CEST)Beantworten

(note: Op.49 was published in 1936/37 - see HMB 1937, January, page 4.) The 1910 concerto might be an earlier version of Op.49 - or perhaps, maybe I misread Violinkonzert?... hrm... will have to look at that issue of NZM and recheck... Eric (Diskussion) 01:16, 25. Composition dates? Bearbeiten

I see that Breitkopf published a "Werkverzeichnis" for Bleyle at some point. Maybe that sort something similar is how the composition dates are known? (Unlike publication dates after all, which can be estimated with fair accuracy one way or another by several methods, composition dates tend to need something more, traditionally, whether autograph, date on the score, mention in a letter, but something :) - still, could be one of several somethings...) Oh, right- I think this may be mentioned in the article, I missed it -

Klien, Gilbert (1971): Karl Bleyle : eine Dokumentation über sein Leben und Werk aus Anlaß der Ausstellung im Palais Liechtenstein in Feldkirch vom 18. September bis 3. Oktober 1971.

Yes, that would do it, if it's any good. Sorry about all the rambling! Eric (Diskussion) 01:33, 25. Jun. 2014 (CEST)Beantworten
