Personal Life Bearbeiten

I am one of Joseph Terrence Ferguson's granddaughters. He married Clara Magdeline Kost at St. Mary's Church in Lancaster, Oh. Joe was the oldest son of Clarence Ferguson of Junction City, Oh. He had two brothers Leo and John and a sister Elizabeth. Clara was the youngest daughter of Frank Kost of Lancaster. She is one of 12 children. I have the wedding announcement from the local newspapers, but no date is included. Joe and Clara had nine children, 4 girls and five boys. One boy died at age 3 yrs. My mother is the oldest daughter Anna. As of 2016, all with the exception of the 3 year old, are still alive. My mother is second oldest and she will be 92 in February. Her brother Terence is a year older. Joe's mother died young and his father, a miner, was ill most of his young life. Joe quit school at 13 after completing 8th grade and delivered newspapers for a living. He expanded this into a business, hiring other children to deliver papers for him and sell candy at the local train station. He worked as an auditior, first for a mining company and later for the state of Ohio until he ran for Auditor of State successfully. He loved baseball and sponsored a semi-pro baseball team called the "Ferguson Auditors". He also bought a farm with the money left by his mother's dowery to povide support for his brother Leo and sister Elizabeth who raised chicken, pigs and grew vegetables and feed crops for themselves and to sell. Clara and Joe had 34 grandchildren. (nicht signierter Beitrag von 174.47.59.194 (Diskussion) 20:07, 27. Okt. 2016 (CEST))Beantworten
