At least in the Catalan original version, it is clearly said that the concert in Krakau is in 1991, commemorating the 200th aniversary of Mozart's death. The first chapter of the novel is dated "Desembre de 1991". The last chapter is not dated. Could be 1993, the date when the novel was finished (February 1993; published 1994).
