Alfred emigrated to England to work at Chance Brothers. Here he developed the Sumo (submersible motor) pump before retiring in 1949.

Alfred emigrierte nach England, um bei der Arbeit Chance Brothers (read as above). Hier entwickelte er die Sumo (submersible motor = Tauchmotor) Pumpe vor dem Ruhestand im Jahr 1949.
