BearbeitenDie Sony VAIO P Serie ist eine Notebookreihe von (ultra)-portablen Computern,[1][2] die als "lifestyle PC"[2] vermarktet werden. Sony selbst klassifiziert Sie nicht als Netbook, obwohl Sie einige Merkmale teilen. Die Sony Vaio P Serie bietet einen "Instant Mode", der sich aus einer Linux Umgebung mit Sony's XrossMediaBar (XMB) als grafische Oberfläche zusammensetzt um den Zugriff auf Dokumente, Media Dateien sowie das Internet mit einer Bootzeit von 20 Sekunden[3] zu ermöglichen. Seit Juni 2009 stellt Sony Treiber für Microsoft Windows XP zur Verfügung die ein Downgrade von Microsoft Windows Vista ermöglichen.
