Eine Megaflut ist eine Flut mit Spitzenabflussmengen von mehr als einer Million Kubikmeter pro Sekunde. Es handelt sich dabei um die größten bekannten terrestrischen Süßwasserströme. Sie traten vor allem während dem Ende der Eiszeiten auf durch Dammbrüche an Eisstauseen.[1]
