BearbeitenClaas Guitars is a guitar building company founded in 2012 from Burgdorf, Lower Saxony, Germany. Alexander Claas is founder and still CEO and master luthier. The company builds electric guitars and electric basses and belongs to the high end and luxury section of guitar builders.

The products are separated into electric guitars and electric basses. There are two model types: The "Moby Dick" and the "Leviathan"[1].
The company is a pure custom shop, which means, they build only single pieces on order, mostly directly for the customer.
All instruments feature an extravagant design of the body shape, featuring a extra long neck joint and a special bolt on neck construction. Also most instruments are headless, therefore guitars and basses without a headstock, on which the strings are tuned by special tuners on the lower end of the body.
Claas Guitars promotes their instruments by writing: "Especially in a time, where music and culture change to more versatility and higher requirements, also the instruments have to make this change"[2]
