Adding a link to English Language Wiki

I added a link to Jerzy Carnecki's page. This link was removed and replaced with an alternative format for linking. However, this format does not provide a link to the page. I suspect because Jerzy Carnecki's page is in the English Wikipedia, not the German Wikipedia. Or perhaps I do not understand something. Anyway, the link I added is gone. @Reikli: Hey, the German speaking Wikipedia doesn't allow links to articles in other languages that are directly put into the article text. See Hilfe:Internationalisierung#Im Text sichtbare Interwiki-Links. --XenonX3 – (☎) 20:14, 12. Jun. 2023 (CEST)
