Der Begriff taucht in der WP nur in Artikeln mit Bezug zum Umfeld des Verstorbenen auf. Scheint also kein allgemein geläufiger Begriff zu sein. --Tribar (Diskussion) 09:19, 22. Sep. 2021 (CEST)
- Das war die gängige Bezeichnung für diesen speziellen Stil, der vor allem zwischen 1989 und 1991 in Sheffield populär war und zahlreiche weitere Künstler inspirierte. Hier mal zwei Zitate bekannter Techno-Musiker:
- „Bleep provided the building blocks of the UK sound that followed – the emotions, the edge, the darkness and the sub-bass. Later generations have taken these elements and done something new, but the fundamentals are still there.“ (Neil Landstrumm)
- „You wouldn't have had hardcore had it not been for bleep. Without bleep, British dance music would be completely different.“ (Mark Archer, Altern8)
