The bishop-elect was born in Khlivchany, Ukraine in 1970, took his religious vows in 1996 and was ordained a priest in 1977. He holds a licentiate in canon law from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome. He has served in pastoral roles in Novoiavorivsk, Kokhavino and Lviv, and is currently superior of the Community of Redemptorist Fathers in Ivano-Frankivsk and priest in the parish of “Our Lady of Perpetual Help” in the same city.
