George or Gheorghe Pantazi Bearbeiten

Boulanger was the son of the Romanian lautar of Rroma origin, Vasile Pantazi, born in Călăraşi, district Ialomita, and of his wife, born Ciobanu. His father was called Boulanger because of some physical traits which reminded the French general Boulanger, who died in 1891, especially his "barbichon". Georges Boulanger was born as George Pantazi and inherited also the father's nickname, Boulanger. The so-called originary name "Ghiţă Bulencea" was a joke used by him during a conversation with the musicologist George Sbârcea and other Romanian guests in a café in Paris in 1931.Ewan2 (Diskussion) 02:53, 11.
