What is WikiTennisBot?

WikiTennisBot is a Bot that helps to keep tennis-related articles up to date. It is run via the Toolforge and it aims to update Wikipedia articles and Wikidata items each Monday for certain repetititve tasks.

WikiTennisBot has its own user profile (de:Benutzer:WikiTennisBot) via which it submits any edits.

Which features does WikiTennisBot offer now and potentially in the future?

Currently, WikiTennisBot provides the following features:

/PlayerProfiles
- Webservice via https://wikitennisbot.toolforge.org/
- Supported Wikipedias: dewp
- Supported functions: createInfobox, updateInfobox

In the medium term, WikiTennisBot seeks to implement the following additional features:

/PlayerProfiles
- ATP: initial full information to Wikidata for any new player on Wikidata
- ATP: weekly update of changing information (world ranking, win-loss record, prize money,...) in infoboxes
- WTA: initial full information to Wikidata for any new player on Wikidata
- WTA: weekly update of changing information (world ranking, win-loss record, prize money,...) in infoboxes

[Add] Infobox: createInfobox (based on info from ATP website), updateInfobox (based on info from existing infobox updated by weekly changes (prizemoney, win/loss record singles/doubles, world ranking singles/doubles, number of tournament wins singles/doubles)
[Add] Infobox: currently only German Wikipedia (de-wp) supported
