Neptunica
Neptunica, bestehend aus den Mitgliedern Maximillian Bohnet (Maximillian Manolo Emanuel Bohnet) und Nicolas Heine (Nicolas Günter Hajo Heine) (*1), ist ein 2015 gegründeter Musik- und DJ-Act, der elektronische Musik produziert. Zu Beginn repräsentierten beide Mitglieder den Act, seit November 2018 ist Maximillian Bohnet das Gesicht von Neptunica, während Nicolas Heine weiter im Hintergrund aktiv ist (*2). Beide Mitglieder arbeiten weiterhin gemeinsam an den Produktionen.
In der Anfangszeit fiel Neptunica vor allem durch inoffizielle Remixe auf (*3). Davon wurden viele auf dem bekannten YouTube-Kanal “Trap Nation” hochgeladen. Der erfolgreichste Upload ist ein Cover-Remix von Major Lazers “Cold Water”, zusammen mit Matt Defreitas (ROLLUPHILLS). Der Upload zählt über 20 Millionen Streams auf Trap Nations YouTube Kanal (*4).
Bis 2019 produzierte Neptunica eine Mischung aus Trap und Tropical House, womit sie das Genre “Trapical” prägten. Die größten Hits aus dieser Zeit sind “Poseidon” und “Foreign Place” (ft. Xhara). Weiterhin gelten sie als prägender Act des Genres Future Bass (*7). Danach wechselte das Duo in eine Mischung aus kommerziellem House und schnelleren EDM-Genres, wie kommerziellem Goa/Psytrance, Hard-Dance, Hardstyle und Uptempo Bounce. Die größten Hits aus dieser Zeit sind “Love Is Gone”, “Marble”, “Overdose” und “Scream” (*5).
Seit 2016 ist Neptunica bei Kontor Records unter Vertrag und arbeitete im Zuge dessen schon mit vielen Künstlern aus diesem Umfeld zusammen, wie z.B. Lost Frequencies, Armin van Buuren, Mike Candys, LUNAX, Jerome, Harris & Ford, LIZOT, KYANU, Tom Gregory und Gestört aber Geil (siehe Diskografie).
Live tritt Neptunica vor allem in Clubs wie dem Noa Beach Club und auf Festivals wie der Kieler Woche, dem Electric Zone Festival in der Schweiz oder dem World Club Dome auf. Außerdem spielte Neptunica als Support-Act für Scooter, eine der größten Techno-Bands der Welt, in der Zitadelle Spandau (*6).
Besonders erfolgreich ist Neptunica vor allem auf den Streaming Plattformen mit über 250 Millionen Streams (*6).
