English: Union Steam Ship Co 7,480 GRT turbo-electric ferry Maori. Vickers-Armstrong Ltd built her on Tyneside, launching her in November 1952 and completing her in 1953. She worked the Steamer Express route between Wellington and Lyttelton until she was laid up in 1972. In 1965 Taikoo Dockyard in Hong Kong converted her into a roll on, roll off ferry. In January 1974 the Hong Kong company Wiltopps (Asia) Ltd bought her with the intention of starting a service between Hong Kong and Taiwan, but in March she was moved to Kaohsiung where she was scrapped.
