English: 4,465 GRT cargo ship Manchester Engineer, built in 1905 as Craigvar for the West of Scotland Steam Ship Co. In 1910 the Treasury Steam Ship Co bought her and renamed her Nation. In 1917 Manchester Liners bought her and renamed her Manchester Engineer, replacing a previous ship of the same name sunk by a U-boat in 1916. In August 1917 the German submarine UC-16 torpedoed and sank the second Manchester Engineer southeast of Flamborough Head in Yorkshire.
