<u Q. o 92 Pound Cake. I cup of sugar. 1 cup of butter.5 eggs. 2 cups of flour. HOW TO MIX. Rub sugar and butter together lo minutes until creamy,divide the eggs in three portions and add in one-third andrub 3 minutes, then add in one-half of the eggs which stillremain and rub the same as before, add in the remainingeggs and rub the same, then add in the flour and mixlightly. Bake in a dripping or round pan, well greased,and place paper on the sides and bottom. Bake in a warm oven. After baked, remove the paper and ice the bottom,which then forms the tc^p. Rub sugar and butter together lo minutes until creamy,divide the eggs in three parts and add in one-third and rub3 minutes, then add in one-half of the eggs which remainand rub the same as before, add in the balance of the eggsand rub the same, then add in the flour and cream tartarand mix lightly. Bake in a dripping pan, well greased, andplace paper on the sides and bottom. Bake in a warm oven. After baked, remove the paper and ice the bottom,which then forms the top.
