English: French-language advertisement for the beauty and health institute at No. 14 Franklin Street, Bucharest, Romania. The founder and owner is Leone Friedman, "Member of the Dermatological and Syphiligraphic Society, Paris. Former attending physician in the Skin Disease and Syphilis Clinic at the Universities of Berlin and Florence. Former assistant to Professor [Camillo] Golgi, a laureate of the international Nobel Prize." Friedman promised: the "pain-free treatment" of acne, alopecia, birthmarks, blackheads, port-wine stains and rosacea; the removal of scars or moles; depilation; the non-surgical "correction of deformed noses"; the X-ray treatment of lupus, "from the method devised by Professor [Niels Ryberg] Finsen"; and "the most modern installation for for the radical cure of skin, venereal and syphilitic diseases."
