Mildred Grace Adair Stagg (* 5. August 1895 in Clayton, Alabama, Vereinigte Staaten; † 30. April 1943 in Dade City, Florida, Vereinigte Staaten) war eine US-amerikanische Pianistin, Organistin, Musikpädagogin und Komponistin.[1]

Leben Bearbeiten

Mildred Adairs Eltern waren John D. Adair (1869–1897) und Carrie Bennett Adair (1873–1926). Ihr Vater starb, noch bevor Mildred Adair das zweite Lebensjahr vollendet hatte. Ab 1910 lebte sie in Dothan. Sie absolvierte die Dothan High School und das Judson College.

Später unterrichtete sie viele Jahre in Dothan Musik und Klavier. Sie war fünfzehn Jahre Organistin an der First Baptist Church und die Vorsitzende des örtlichen Harmony Club.

1934 heiratete sie den Immobilienmakler Loring G. Stagg (* 1882). Zusammen lebten sie ab 1934 in Florida, zunächst in Orange, von 1938 bis 1942 in Miami. Bestattet wurde sie auf dem Dothan City Cemetery.[1][2][3]
